Child Safety
This is an adults-only service. What that means in practice, what this site can and cannot enforce, and what to do — whether you saw something, are underage yourself, or are a parent.
If you believe a minor is involved in something on this service, leave the conversation and report it. Do not gather evidence by recording or screenshotting — in many places holding or forwarding that material is itself an offence, even when you mean to report it.
1. Why this page exists
BunnyChat pairs you with a stranger in seconds, with no account and no introduction. That shape is the whole product, and it is also exactly the shape that attracts people looking for a child. Burying this in a terms document would be a way of not saying it.
Worth stating plainly because it is easy to miss: the risk is not only on camera. Matching here has three modes — text, voice-only and video — and grooming works perfectly well in a text box. Everything on this page applies to all three.
2. What is absolutely prohibited
There is no context, no misreading and no first-offence warning that changes any of the following:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form, on any surface of the platform.
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18, including drawn, generated or described.
- Grooming — building trust with a minor toward sexual contact, on or off this service.
- Attempting to involve someone you believe or suspect is under 18 in a sexual conversation.
- Soliciting images from a minor, or moving a minor to another platform.
- Being under 18 and using this service at all.
A session or account found doing any of this is removed, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
3. What this site can and cannot enforce
Being straight about the limits is more useful to you than a stronger-sounding promise:
| The honest version | |
|---|---|
| What it does | Moderation runs continuously. Report, block and skip stay reachable inside the conversation rather than buried in a settings tree. Reports go to a person with the context attached, and confirmed cases end in removal. |
| What it does not do | There is no identity or age check before you are matched — no ID, no document, no face-age estimate. Nobody is verified to be an adult; people are removed once they are found not to be. |
| What nobody can do | Nothing on any website can stop the other person recording their own screen with software that has nothing to do with this service. That is why the safest rule is still not to put on camera anything you would mind existing as a file. |
The age rule is enforced by removal after the fact, not by a check at the door. Starting a match needs no account, which is what makes an anonymous visit anonymous — and it is the same property that means we cannot verify anyone's age before they arrive. Any service in this category claiming otherwise is describing an identity system it does not have.
4. If you saw something
Act on it. Do not wait until you are certain.
- Leave the conversation first. Ending it is one tap and the other side is not told why.
- Use the report control in the conversation. That is the fastest route to a person, and it carries the context with it.
- Then write to [email protected] with roughly when it happened and your timezone. On an anonymous match there are no usernames, so the time is often the only way to find the session at all.
- Report it to the authorities as well, not only to us — see below. That route does not depend on us and does not wait on us.
Reporting outside this service
Contact your local police. In the United States the NCMEC CyberTipline takes reports at report.cybertip.org; in the United Kingdom the IWF takes them at iwf.org.uk.
Do not collect evidence. Do not record, screenshot, save or forward the material — in many jurisdictions possessing or sharing it is an offence in itself, regardless of why you did it. Telling us and the authorities when and what is enough.
5. If you are under 18
This is not the place for you, and that is not a formality. Close the tab.
And if an adult here has asked you for pictures, asked where you live or which school you go to, pushed you to move to a different app, or told you to keep something secret from your parents — that is not normal, and none of it is your fault. Tell an adult you trust and report it to the police. You are not in trouble for having been here.
6. For parents and guardians
A service like this puts a stranger on camera with one tap and no signup. It is not something a child should be able to reach, and the controls that actually work sit on the device rather than here:
- Operating-system parental controls restrict which sites and apps can be opened at all, and can require your approval for new ones.
- DNS or browser-level filtering blocks whole categories of site rather than one address at a time — worth doing, because this category has a new domain in it every week.
- Camera and microphone permissions are per-site and can be denied or revoked at any time in the browser's settings.
If you believe your child has used this service, write to [email protected] with roughly when. We will look for what can be found and removed. Be aware that if no account was ever created there may be nothing tied to a person to find — that is the same property that protects adult users' privacy, and here it works against you.
